Nut Milk
An easy non-dairy milk for use in cooking or on cereal
Servings: 7 cups
Equipment
- High speed blender
Blend for at least 1 minute or until very smooth:
- 6 cups water
- 1½ cups raw, unsalted cashews
- 6 dates omit for unsweetened milk
- Pinch salt
- ¼ tsp. powdered vanilla omit for unsweetened milk
Keeps in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Notes
You can replace the cashews with almonds, if desired.
If you want to make more or less milk, the formula is as follows: For each cup of water, use one date and 1/4 cup nuts.
