Hummus
A classic hummus that you can customize to your favorite flavor profile
Servings: 4 servings
Equipment
- Food processor
Purée in a food processor:
- ⅓ cup tahini
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- ½ tsp. ground cumin
- ¾ tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Then add to food processor:
- 1 can (15 oz) garbanzos, drained or 2 cups cooked garbanzos
Process for 3 to 4 minutes. Add a small amount of cold water if needed to blend smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings if desired.
Notes
Add whatever you like to make it a custom flavor! My favorites are 1 tsp. za’atar seasoning or 1/4 cup Greek olives. Add the olives and the end and pulse to chop.
