Apple Crisp

Enjoy for breakfast or dessert!

Slice thinly (use a food processor if you have one):

  • 12 medium-to-large apples

Place apples in a large pot and stir in the following ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon or coriander
  • ¾ cup apple juice concentrate

Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Transfer apples to a 9 x 13 baking dish.

To prepare the topping, combine the following ingredients in a mixing bowl:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon or coriander
  • ¼ tsp. powdered vanilla
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup

Mix well and spread over apples. Bake at 350℉ for 30 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
