Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp
Enjoy for breakfast or dessert!
Slice thinly (use a food processor if you have one):
- 12 medium-to-large apples
Place apples in a large pot and stir in the following ingredients:
- 1 tsp. cinnamon or coriander
- ¾ cup apple juice concentrate
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Transfer apples to a 9 x 13 baking dish.
To prepare the topping, combine the following ingredients in a mixing bowl:
- 3 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon or coriander
- ¼ tsp. powdered vanilla
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup maple syrup
Mix well and spread over apples. Bake at 350℉ for 30 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
