Combine in a large frying pan:
2Tbsp.olive oil
2Tbsp.minced garlic
4cupscooked brown rice
4cupscooked brown or green lentils
1tsp.cumin
½tsp.saltor to taste
½cupchopped fresh parsleyor 3 Tbsp. dried parsley
Cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes or until heated through.
For authentic mujadara, top with carmelized onions. (My family members don't care for fried onions, so we always just eat this dish without them.)
